Affidavit of Support Documents for Pakistani Family Visas | Pakistan USA Visa Tracker
Financial Documents / Affidavit of Support
General informational guidance based on official sources. Not legal advice.
Form I-864 Affidavit of Support and supporting financial evidence used to show a sponsor can financially support an intending immigrant, as required in many family-based cases.
Why it may be required
NVC collects Affidavit of Support documents before a case can become documentarily complete. The Islamabad family-based checklist also requires the appropriate Form I-864 for each financial sponsor, related W-2s, and proof of the sponsor’s status and domicile.
Who normally needs it
Most family-based immigrant visa applicants. Follow the forms NVC lists in CEAC.
Where Pakistani applicants can obtain it
The U.S. petitioner/sponsor completes USCIS Affidavit of Support forms. Official forms are on uscis.gov.
General application process
Download current USCIS forms, complete them according to the instructions, and upload the packet in CEAC. Bring interview copies listed on the embassy checklist.
Common documents required
Current form edition, required tax evidence, and proof of status/domicile. Confirm the current USCIS instructions; this site does not invent income thresholds.
City / province information
These documents are usually prepared in the United States by the sponsor, not at a Pakistani government office.
Important notes
Fee amounts and poverty-guideline tables change. Use the current official USCIS form and instructions.
